Book Review : Rich Dad’s Conspiracy Of The Rich

Robert Kiyosaki

Robert Kiyosaki

As we know, Robert Kiyosaki is well known for “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”. It would probably be tough finding a person who hasn’t heard of it. It has sold in the tens of millions, in many different languages.

So –  ” Rich Dad’s Conspiracy Of The Rich”. This one was written about 2009, just after the Global Financial Crisis.  This book talks of how screwed up the world really is. He talks of how our kids need more financial education. I couldn’t agree with that more. We teach our kids about what happened hundreds of years ago, but not what will be happening in their next 2o or 30. Things like Inflation, Interest……… ……..if we taught our kids more about this sort of thing, they would be on a better track.

Mr Kiyosaki runs down the rich and says that the banks are set up for a run towards failure. They are able to lend millions of dollars they don’t have and earn crazy amounts from it.  In the early years of our mortgages, most of it goes straight into the banks pocket.

He doesn’t agree with what many people are taught, things such as :

  • Go to school
  • Get a job
  • Work hard
  • Save Money
  • Houses been assets and our biggest investment
  • Living below our means
  • Getting out of debt
  • Investing for the long term
  • Retire and the government will support you
  • Living happily ever after

Do you get paid by the hour, the month or the second ? Are you getting paid eight hours a day, or 24/7 ?

He talks of people born after 1990. They never lived life without the internet. As we know, the internet is part of most of our lives.  Technology is great. The future is exciting, but also scary. Think of 20-30 down the track again. How many jobs will be obsolete ? MANY !! This will lead to unemployment. I kinda get sick of hearing about the richer getting richer and the poorer getting poorer. I think I know why this is. It’s because the rich use their heads and work their arse off and the poor sit on their arse. (Excuse the language )  .

The book is a pretty negative one…….but it’s the facts. It was written 7 years ago. I wonder what Mr Kiyosaki thinks of things at the moment. I guess he will be voting for his book buddy, Mr Trump…

So, have a read . I have really enjoyed it. I think you will too.
