Do You Have A Pinterest Account ?

I have only recently realized what an awesome system Pinterest is. I had an account but had never contributed much to it. I now contribute about 30 pins a day.

I did spend most of my time on Facebook promoting. But if one is trying to bring attention to the likes of a blog, it’s not really the way to do it.

Why ? Well, think of the many people posting while on Facebook. How long is a post in a position where it can be seen by many ? Not very long at all.Whereas, when you place a new pin on Pinterest, it can be seen for alot longer. It doesn’t disappear.I believe Pinterest has much bigger potential.

I didn’t really know about Pinterest groups either. I’m now a member of several groups, mostly Blogging ones. This is an opportunity for others to see your pins, which could lead visitors to your blog. What else are you involved in ? Personally, I am an Affiliate Marketer. So, several of my pins are related to different products.

There are Pinterest Facebook groups . This is where all members post either a pin or their Pinterest profile and everyone is responsible to do the likes of re-pinning other peoples pins or following others account. This happens several times a day.

It’s great to be part of a group working together with everyone’s best interests at heart. It’s about taking action to benefit yourself & others. Together, everyone achieves more.

I design all my pins with Canva. Canva is an awesome  program where you can create designs of many sizes, whether it’s a pin , banner or Facebook header. It’s so simple to use . It only takes a minute or two to design whatever you are designing. Many people also use PicMonkey but I find Canva alot easier. We of course need images to create whatever we are creating. I use Pixabay. It contains thousands of free images, whatever the subject.

I have also started to use Tailwind. Tailwind is for scheduled posting on Pinterest & Instagram. One can plan for many days ahead. You choose what  pin to be posted, when to post it and what group you want it posted in. It makes it alot easier than just posting from Pinterest. There are also “Tribes” with Tailwind. If you are part of a Tribe, members post each others pins. It’s a one for one system. EG: for each one you post, someone will post one of yours.

So, Do you have Pinterest account ?

If not, I recommend you get started !!

I agree that Pinterest is a much more effective method than just relying on facebook, but the facebook groups are really handy! This is a great post, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the great Pinterest tips! I just started using tailwind myself and I haven’t yet noticed a jump in views, i am not posting 30 times a day though. Maybe I need to step it up a bit. I’m going to go search some Pinterest Facebook groups..right now!! thanks again 🙂
