When The Going Gets Tough

A very important point to think about when becoming successful is how you will react when things get tough. If only everything was simple and plain sailing. In everyday life, there are always good and bad times. But, if you want to be successful, you’ll need the motivation to keep on going through these difficult times.

When you start a business, you should be full of motivation. What sort of a morning person are you? Do you struggle to get out of bed in the mornings? That’s something that I do not struggle with. I’m pretty much out of bed by 6 a.m, whether it’s a weekday or during the weekend. This is partly because of my Epilepsy. I’m not a good sleeper at all but a lot of it comes back to habits. Sometimes I have said that I wish I didn’t have to go to bed at all.

So, how will you be when the going gets tough. Do you have something that will keep you going even during those times when you feel like quitting? What’s your motivation? Perhaps it will be the ones you love. Maybe you have some goals set for the future. I look forward to continuing to increase what I earn. I look forward to seeing the world in the future.

We often hear how important it is to set goals. As I said, I know where I want to be in the future. So, I am not as big as some people on setting goals. As long as I know I’m headed in the right direction and putting in 100%, I’m happy.

Where do you see yourself down the track in 12 months, 24 months or 10 years? If you’re a goal setter, which one is most important. Just think how different things will be for you when you get where you want to be . Do you have anything that’s always on your mind? I know I do, and quite a few of these are financial thoughts. One of my goals is to be mortgage free. We all often hear that money doesn’t buy happiness. I don’t 100% agree with that. Perhaps peace of mind is a better way to look at it. Money may not buy happiness, but it provides peace of mind, and peace of mind = happiness.

So when the going gets tough, you gotta keep on going, and going and going and going and going !!!

OMG YES! Just YES! Every time I’m on the brink of giving up… I remind myself to press in…. and NOT focus on the turnaround time of the comeback…. but keep my sights set on the GOALS I have set…. this usually means staying focused on continuing to produce good, quality products while maintaining my current flow (making adjustments where needed). Thanks for the reminder!!
